Columbia Kings today:

Well I usually don’t go plunking, but with all the rivers blown and muddy it was my only real choice. It took only about ten minutes to get my Springer to the bank, and then it died for Tommy and I for hours. During this time we did see several fish hooked and landed, and also many lost. The best was the Summer Steelhead I saw getting caught. That’s my next fish I hope before I head back to AK. Here are a few pics from today, and if the wife is feeling better in the morning we are hitting it up again.

My fish for the day:

Hit up the sandy and the Clackamas this week. Tommy and I got out in the raft and hit the sandy when it was high. No results at all,but had a good time in the rain anyway. Hit up the Clackamas the next day with Ian, Brent and I. I hooked up with four fish, and put two to the boat, both hatches. So I got to kill something at least. It was not red hot, but fish were landed, and fun was had. After Ian left, a guide (Forrest Foxworthy) with a jet boat invited us out to do some back trolling. Forrest Foxworthy was one of the most knowledgeable fisherman I have been with for a long time. He knows his stuff to perfection. He fishes the Clackamas, Willamette, Columbia, but his expertise lies on the banks of the Deschutes river. Fishing it for several years, he was one of the first Oregon guides, and the one to get a hold of  to book a great trip with a great guide.

His fee is a minimal amount of only 200 dollars a day. I believe you can’t go wrong with this guide.

You can get a hold of him at 1 503 720 6993 to book a trip. You can’t go wrong.

Well no fishing yet, but I took this video last night of two young boys singing to my wife. The older of the two brothers sang to her 2 years ago also. It was fun to have them around, and they sang for about 1 hour straight. They are good!!.

Clown fart finds Oregon.

It up the Sandy river today with great results. Between the four of us, we went 10 for 19. Not a bad day after all is said and done. I fished hard all morning with this little soft okie egg drifter that has been doing the trick a couple times out, but no today. I only touched one fish before 9am. Then I thought to myself, this water looked similar to the water I had fished earlier in the year, when I used an aeropuff (Clown Fart). Well it only took one cast to find out that this was the way to go. I was hooked up with a nice buck, and then 2 casts later I was into the second one, and she was a beauty. So only 3 casts to get two fish once I changed over to the clown fart. Looks like I may have to throw these a lot more in the near future in Oregon.
