After getting our work done on the Lodge’s tent camp, Brian and I got busy hunting down Steelhead on the Famous Situk river. Water levels are perfect for floating as of right now, and the fish numbers seem to be better than the last couple of years. Water temp is good, and not to much deep snow on the banks, (So the campers should be happy this year). We saw over20 fish yesterday, and got into about 20. These fish we were hooking up with, were hot fighters. We were only able to bring 4 to the boat, but we did get some great video. I got into my last fish after the light had left the sky. As we were coming to the landing, I saw a little wake at the top of the water and took a cast. You can see the results in the pic, and also I got caught with real goofy look on my face. We saw both Spring and winter fish in the river, so that is a good sign that we are looking at more fish earlier on this year. Instead of waiting until May to show up they are here now. Here are the pics and the vids.

Hey Damon, “You think there is any fish in the hole???â€
Good luck out there,

Now, that’s a nice chrome beauty. I fished the Salmon River, NY all weekend. Lots of hungry drop backs, Hatchery is loaded with fish, that are ready to be squeezed for the next generation. I went 2 for 3, and my buddy Lou (his first ever Steelhead trip) went 3 for 3. They don’t fight as hard as when they are fresh but they still perform…..
